Musings about meetings and collaboration

I love these videos. They are well filmed and at their core demonstrate the importance of communication in business with a comic edge. The importance of communication and collaboration tools are essential to getting things done, reducing pressure and helping us have good results.

The first video is about the virtual meetings. If you've ever attended a virtual meeting, you will totally subscribe to this one. Just imagine the complexity of this if you add timezone and language barriers as variables. There is a tremendous opportunity in this space for improvement, but the tools alone would not be sufficient as the leadership element to help set a culture of accountability plays a much larger role.

To top things off, I found this great comic video as well. At it's core, it mocks the role of the project managers and management in terms of capability of leadership referenced in the Skills Approach. When the balance of Technical, Human and Conceptual elements are out of balance, this would be the result.
